The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth in an average of once every 28 days.

Or in other words we can say that the Moon orbits the Earth around 13 times in one year.

There are several ways to scientists say how a moon completes in orbit such as the sidereal month or the synodic month.

The only difference in the two being in terms of the meantime the Earth and Moon both orbited some distance around the Sun.
