Simon Commission has been reached in India at once only in 1927 the British government decided to send a committee to India to recommend weather India was ready for for the constitution progress or not this committee was named after the Simon Commission after its head Sir John Simon

It was a group of seven British Members of Parliament under chairmanship of Sir John Simon.  

Commission arrived in British India in 1928 to study constitutional reform in Britain's significant colony.  

One member was Clement Attlee who became committed to Indian independence by 1934 and achieved target as Prime Minister in 1947 in granting independence to India and Pakistan.

November 1927 British government recruits Simon Commission for reporting on India's constitutional advancement for introducing constitutional reforms.  

Commission strongly opposed by many in India.
