We have to find the number of time the digit 3 occurs in the hundreds place for numbers between 100 and 10000. For numbers between 100 to 1000 , 3 is present in the hundreds place from 300 to 399 (100 times). For numbers between 1000 to 2000 , 3 is present in the hundreds place for 1300 to 1399 (100 times).
