how many times the perimeter of a square will become if its side is doubled.

Hi,

Here's the answer:-

Let its side be x

New side = 2x

Perimeter of original side = 4×x = 4x

Perimeter of new side = 4×2x = 8x

So, perimeter doubles.

Perimeter of square = 4 × Side Length

Initial perimeter = 4a

If side length is doubled
Final perimeter = 4 × (2a) = 8a

From above
Final perimeter = 2 × Initial Perimeter

∴ Perimeter also doubles.
