Answer:

area is square with side 20 cm= 20×20 = 400 cm^2

square with diagonal 20 cm

By Pythagoras theorem

20^2= a^2 + a^2

20×20=2a^2

10×20=a^2

a=10√2cm

area = 10√2 × 10√2= 200 cm^2

area is square with side 20 cm is double to that of area of square with diagonal 20 cm.

Answer:

let no. of times be x,

Area of 1st Square=Side×Side

=20×20=400cm²

Now,

Area or 2nd Square =0.5×d×d

=0.5×20×20=200cm²

According to question:

400cm²×x=200cm²

 =  > x =  \frac{1}{2} times
