Distance=2002m
Radius=49cm
Circumference=2 \pi  r
                        =2*22/7*49
                        =308 cm
Distance covered by wheel in one rotation=Circumference of wheel
total rotations=total distance/total dist. covered in one rotation
=200200/308
=650 revolutions

650 times will the wheel of a car rotate in a journey of 2002 m, if the radius of the wheel is 49 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Total distance covered by car(d) = 2002 m = 200200 cm.

2. Distance covered by one rotation = Circumference of wheel

   So

   Distance covered by one rotation = 2×π×R

   Where

  R = radius of wheel = 49 cm

   taking the value of π =\frac{22}{7}

3. Let number of times wheel rotate in during 200200 cm is N

   So

  Number of times wheel rotate×Distance covered by one rotation=Total distance covered by car

 N×(2×π×R) =d

 N\times 2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 49=200200

 N\times 2\times 22 \times 7=200200

 so

Number of rotation of wheel (N)=650
