30 times digit 2  will be written if odd numbers from 300 to 900 are written

Given : ODD NUMBERS from 300 to 900

To Find : How many times  digit 2 would be written

Solution:

Numbers from 300 to 900

Hence Hundreds digit can not be 2

Numbers are odd so unit digit can not be 2

Hence only Tens Digit can be 2.

Now as numbers are odd unit Digit can not be 0 , 2 , 4 , 6 , 8

so Numbers having digit 2 will be

321 , 323 , 325 , 327 , 329 ,

421 , 423 , 425 , 427 , 429 ,

521 , 523 , 525 , 527 , 529 ,

621 , 623 , 625 , 627 , 629 ,

721 , 723 , 725 , 727 , 729 ,

821 , 823 , 825 , 827 , 829 ,

Hence total 30 times digit 2  will be written
