whatever the number maybe in ones place 8 can never be there.
take any square of a digit from 0-9 8 doesn't come in in anyone's square
talking about 2 digit number the one place of a 2 digit numberwill always the unit digit of square of number in its unit place
for example 11∧2=121
12∧2=144 2∧2=4
17∧2=289 7∧2=49
