There are basically 3 types of cartilage :
Hyaline cartilage
- Maximum in body
- Colour of matrix is blush.
- Outermost covering is perichondrium.
Fibrous cartilage
- Most flexible cartilage in our body
- Present in pinna of ear, Tip of nose etc.
They are further classified as :
- Elastic cartilage
- White fibrous cartilage.
Calcified cartilage
- Most modified cartilage.
- Hardest cartilage of body.
- Calcium salt deposited in this area.
- Found in Humerus bone.
