1. Tracheids - Tracheids are elongated cells in the xylem of vascular plants that serve in the transport of water and mineral salts. Tracheids are one of two types of tracheary elements, vessel elements being the other. Tracheids, unlike vessel elements, do not have perforation plates.

2. Vessels - A vessel can be a ship, a container for holding liquids, or a tube that transports blood throughout your body. Vessel has a number of different meanings, yet all of them relate in some way to liquids and transportation.

3. Xylem Parenchyma - Xylem parenchyma is an element of complex tissue called “Xylem”. Parenchyma cells of xylem are mainly involved in the storage of carbohydrate, fats and water conduction. Plant tissues can be categorised based on their structure and functions performed.

4. Xylem Fibres - its main function is to transport and store water in plants. it consists of xylem fibres, xylem parenchyma , companion cells . in plants it transports water from downwards to upwards direction.
