there are 5 types of reaction :-

1)Combination reaction : The reaction in which tow or more elements combine with each other to form one or more compounds or molecules is called combination reaction .

2)Decomposition reaction : The reaction in which one compound breaks down into two or more simpler compounds or elements by action of heat , light and electricity . The Decomposition reaction carried out through the application of heat is known as thermal decomposition reaction , the reaction carried out through the application of light is known as photolytic decomposition reaction aand the reaction carried out through the application of electricity is known as electrolysis .

3)Displacement reaction : In this type of reaction a more reactive metal displaces the less reactive metal from it's compound .

4)Double-displacement reaction: The reaction in which the compounds exchange their ions to form form new compounds is called double-displacement reaction . This reaction is of two types : one in which insoluble precipitate is formed is called precipitation reaction and the reaction in which acid and base neutralise each other to form salt and water is called neutralisation reaction.

5)Redox reaction -it involves both oxidation and reduction. oxidation means adding of oxygen and removing hydrogen...

HEYA MATE!!!

There are 5 types of chemical reactions..

1) Combination reaction :- A combination reaction is a type of chemical reaction in which two or more substances reacts with each other to form only one product.

2) Decomposition reaction :-

decomposition reaction is a type of chemical reaction in which a single compound breaks down into two or more elements or new compounds.

3) Displacement reaction :- Displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its compound. Both metals and non-metals take part in displacement reactions.

4) Double Displacement reaction :- Double displacement reaction is such where the positive ions and the negative ions of the two reactants switch places giving rise to two new compounds.

5) Redox Reactions :- The reaction in which oxidation and reduction takes place simultaneously at the same time is called redox reaction.....

Oxidation :- Oxidation is acceptance of oxygen or removal of hydrogen

Reduction :- Reduction is removal of oxygen and addition of hydrogen
