There are two types of fluid pressure: Static pressure and dynamic pressure. Static pressure is the pressure of the fluid which behaves as a potential(just like in electricity) and the difference between the static pressure at the two points is the potential difference (just like the potential difference in electricity). If these two points are connected together with the pipe (just like wire connection in electricity) then the flow of fluid starts from high static pressure to the low static pressure. Here dynamic pressure behaves like the flow current (just like the electric current).
