• Muscular force :- Force resulting due to the action of muscles is called muscular force.

Example ➞ Pushing a load requires muscular force.

• Friction :- Frictional force always acts in the direction opposite to applied force.

Example ➞ If force is applied with left hand,frictional force will act in right direction.

Non - Contact force :-

• Magnetic force :- The force exerted by the magnet is called magnetic force.

Example ➞ Compass.

• Electrostatic force :- The force exerted by a charged body on charged or uncharged body.

Example ➞ Lightening.

• Gravitational force :- The force exerted by the earth on all object on it.

Example ➞ The force that holds the gases in the sun.
