★Proper fractions★

☞if the numerator is less than fraction is called as a proper fraction. Example:-2/9 ; 7/9 ; 12/9. The value of proper fraction is less than 1.

________________________________

★Improper fraction★

☞if the numerator is more than or equal to the denominator, then the fraction is called as improper fraction. Example:-7/4 ; 4/3 etc. The value of improper fraction is greater than or equal to 1.

★Mixed fraction★

☞if improper fraction is expressed by the sum of natural numbers and proper fraction then it is called as mixed fractions. Example:- (3⅔) ; (12¼) etc..

★Regular fraction★

☞if denominator is other than 10,100,1000...etc.,then the fraction is defined as the term regular fraction. Example:- (¾) ; (13/20).

★Decimal fraction★

☞the fractions of denominator 10,100 or 1000.. Is called as decimal fractions.

  • Examples:-
  1. (3/10)=(0.3)
  2. (13/100)=(0.13) etc..

★Like fractions★

☞fractions whose numerator are different but denominators are same are known as like fractions..Examples:-

  • 3/4
  • 1/4..etc.

★Unlike fractions★

☞the fractions having different denominators are called as unlike fractions. Examples:-

  • 2/3
  • 5/7
  • 7/2..etc

Equivalent fractions

A given fraction and the fraction obtained by multiplying or {dividing} it with numerator and denominator by the same zero number are called as equivalent fractions. Examples:-

  • 3/4
  • 6/8
  • 9/12..etc

★Irreducible fractions★

A fraction (a/b) is said to be irreducible, if H.C.F (a, b) =1..

  • Examples of irreducible fractions:-
