Answer:

Oceans are made of five layers or depths. Each layer has different characteristics, such as the temperature and the amount of light. They have unique creatures living within them. There is plenty of sunlight and heat in this zone although both decrease as you go deeper.

Epipelagic Zone -

  • The epipelagic zone is the ocean's surface layer, which stretches from the surface to 200 meters deep (656 feet).
  • Because it contains the majority of visible light, it's also known as the sunshine zone.
  • Heat is a byproduct of light. The vast variety of temperatures that may be found in this zone are due to this heat.

The mesopelagic zone-

  • which extends from 200 meters (656 feet) to 1,000 meters below the epipelagic zone, lies beneath the epipelagic zone (3,281 feet).
  • The twilight zone or the midwater zone are two terms used to describe the mesopelagic zone.
  • The amount of light that makes it thus far down is incredibly low. The glittering lights of bioluminescent organisms begin to appear in this zone. Here you will find a wide variety of weird and unusual fish.

The bathypelagic zone -

  • The midnight zone or the black zone are two terms used to describe it. From 1,000 meters (3,281 feet) to 4,000 meters, this zone is located (13,124 feet). Only the animals' own light is seen.
  • At this depth, the water pressure can reach 5,850 pounds per square inch.
  • Despite the strain, there are a surprising amount of animals here. In their quest for food, sperm whales may dive to this depth.
  • Due to the absence of light, the majority of the species that dwell at these depths are black or red.
