•Motion is the change of position of an object over time.
•An object is said to be in motion when it's position changes with time.
⚫️Types of motion are:
1⃣Uniform Motion ➡ An object is said to be in a uniform motion if it covers exactly the same distances in equal intervals of time, howsoever, small these time intervals may be.
Consider an object moving along a straight line and covering 5 m in the 1st second, 5 m in the second, 5 m in the 3rd second and so on. Obviously, the object is in a state of uniform motion.
2⃣Non Uniform Motion ➡ An object is said to be in a non uniform motion if it covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time or equal distances in unequal intervals of time.
Consider a car moving on a crowded street. Depending on the traffic conditions, the moving car covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time. This shows that the car is in a state of non uniform motion.
3⃣Uniform Circular Motion ➡ The motion of an object along a circular path around a fixed point is known as the circular motion.
Motion of a bicycle wheel about its own axis, motion of the blades of an electric fan, motion of an electron around the nucleus of an atom, motion of the moon around the earth, motion of a giant wheel are all examples of circular motion.
