Their are mainly 3 kinds of plastids (that I know)
• Chrormoplast :- They are coloured plastids for synthesis of some pigments . The pigment which is present in them is carotene which gives colours to fruits of a plant body .
• Leucoplast:- They are colourless plastids are found in the non photosynthetic plant parts . (are mainly of 3 types on the basis of storage) :-
* Amyloplast :- starch storage
* Aleuroplast :- proteins storage .
*Elaioplast :- fats storage
• Chloroplast :- Are the green coloured plastids which contain chlorophyll pigments for the process of photosynthesis .
