how many types of plastids are there? which plastid is present in green plants?​

There are three types of plastids :

Leucoplasts

Chromoplasts

and Chloroplasts.

Leucoplasts store lipids, starch and fat.

Chromoplasts provide colour to the plant cells.

Chloroplast is present in green plants which stores chlorophyll in it, which is required for photosynthesis.

Plastids are double membrane - bound organells found inside plants and some algae which are primarily responsible for activities related to making and storing food . Many plastids are photosynthetic , but some are not . Some of the most common plastids include : Chloroplasts .
