In plants, there are 3 types of plastids namely
Chloroplast
Chromoplast
Leucoplast
Chloroplast is a plastid that contains Chlorophyll A; which is the main colour-giving pigment to the plants.
Chromoplast also contains colour-giving pigments; but it gives all other colours except green. It contains Carotenoid pigment which imparts various colours to flowers, fruits etc.
Leucoplast is basically a type of plastid which stores food. It has a large vacuole in which it stores carbohydrates(Amyloplasts), oils and fats(Elaioplasts) and proteins(Aleuroplasts).....
thanks;)
