Question :-

  • Types of quantities there in physical quantity ?

Answer :- Two types

Additional - A physical quantity is a property of a material or system that can be quantified by measurement. A physical quantity can be expressed as the combination of a numerical value and a unit. For example, the physical quantity mass can be quantified as n kg, where n is the numerical value and kg is the unit.

Scientists know many physical quantities, which are classified into basic and derived. ... The basic quantities are length, time, mass, charge, temperature, and the amount of substance. Although the basic quantities are undefined, the ratio of basic quantities of the same type is defined.

Examples :-

  • Temperature is measured by the SI unit 'celsius'.
  • Length is measured by the SI unit 'metre'.
  • Mass is measured by the SI unit 'kilogram'.
  • Time is measured by the SI unit 'second'.
  • Frequency is measured by the SI unit 'hertz'.

  • Electric current is measured by the SI unit 'ampere'.
