Cloth needed by each uniform = 2\frac{1}{4} => \frac{9}{4}

Total measure of clothes = 94\frac{1}{2}=>\frac{189}{2}

Hence, Number of clothes be made =

 \frac{189}{2}  \div   \frac{9}{4}  \\   \\  \frac{189}{2}  \times   \frac{4}{9}  = 21 \times 2 = { \red{42}}

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Length of the cloth = 47 ¼ = 189/4 m

Each scout requires cloth for 1 uniform = 2 ¼ = 9/4m

Number of uniforms stitched = Length of the cloth /Each scout requires cloth for 1 uniform

Number of uniforms stitched =( 189/4) /(9/4)

Number of uniforms stitched = (189/4 )× (4/9) = 189/9 = 21

Hence,21 uniforms can be stitched from 47 ¼ m of cloth .
