How many unpaired electrons does oxygen have?

It has 2 electrons which are in the valence shell and are unpaired!
Solution:-
Valence electrons of O= 6 e
two pairs of electrons exist! i.e; 4 electrons are paired. The remaining are 2 electrons!

The oxygen molecule has two unpaired electrons! Now formally counting electrons in bonding orbitals (4 pairs) and antibonding orbitals (1 pair andtwo single electrons) gives us the bond order of two, as represented in Lewis structure
