in the third shell there are also 8 electrons and its fourth shell there is one electron and valency electron are the electron in outermost shell potassium only has one.....

because valence electrons in alkali is 1 not 8 , you don't know science , umm okay , its wrong answer , so delete it , before anyone can read and score bad marks in exam
