How many whole numbers can we insert between 2 and 3?​

According to dictionary.com as well as Khan Academy, a whole number is any number that is not a fraction, does not have decimal places and and cannot be negative. This means that any number greater than -1 (0,1,2,3,4,5,6) etc etc that is also an integer is a whole number. On any ordinary number line it would go 0…1…2…3…4 etc. 2 and 3 are whole numbers, but as you can see, there is no whole number in between 2 and 3. Rather, you would have numbers like 2.1, 2.2, 2 and 3 quarters etc etc. Therefore, there are 0 whole numbers between 2 and 3.
