12cm=0.12m
for 1.2m it should be cut into 10 times
0.12*10=1.2m
for 0.72m it should be cut into 6 times
0.12*6=0.72m
for 0.6m it should be cut into 5 times
0.12*5=0.60
=0.6

Answer:

300 wooden cubical blocks of edge 12 cm can be cut from a cuboidal block of dimensions 1.2m\times 0.72m\times 0.6m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a cuboidal block of dimensions 1.2 m\times 0.72 m\tmes 0.6 m. we have to find the no. of cubical blocks of edge 12 cm can be cut from above cuboidal block.

Volume of cuboidal block=lbh= 1.2\times 0.72\tmes 0.6=0.5184m^3

Volume of cubical block=a^3=0.12^3=0.001728m^3

Now, no. of wooden cubical blocks which can be cut from a cuboidal block can be calculated as

=\frac{Volume\thinspace of\thinspace cuboidal\thinspace block}{Volume\thinspace of\thinspace cubical\thinspace block}

=\frac{0.5184}{0.001728}

=300

Hence, 300 wooden cubical blocks of edge 12 cm can be cut from a cuboidal block of dimensions 1.2m\times 0.72m\times 0.6m.
