Explanation:

The Pothohar Plateau (Punjabi: پوٹھوار, Urdu: سطح مرتفع پوٹھوہار‎; alternatively spelled Potohar, Potwar or Pothwar) is a plateau in north-eastern Pakistan, forming the northern part of Punjab. It borders the western parts of Azad Kashmir and the southern part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The region was once the home of the ancient Soanian culture, which is evidenced by the discovery of fossils, tools, coins, and remains of ancient archaeological sites.

Explanation:

Deforestation:

The climate of most of the area is semi arid to humid with annual rainfall ranging from 900-1900mm which is very little and makes farming difficult. Its varied landscape is constantly affected by erosion. There is a lot of deforestation, due to the lack of greenery which can remove a lot of soil particles, causing the soil to deteriote. One of the reasons for Potwar plateau bad topography id deforestation. The land of Potwar plateau is mostly bare and has little to no vegetation growing on it. This also contributes to the weather and climate of Potwar plateau making it harder to live here as farming can be huge issue as due to the amount of soil erosion that takes place here the land is affected and the climate is also not ideal for framing because of this farming is limited and can not survive these conditions. This is why there is so little population in Potwar plateau

Poor farming practice:

Poor farming practices are shortcuts that destroy the environment to the point that the environment can no longer sustain normal, healthy growth. When agriculture fields replace natural vegetation, topsoil is exposed and can dry out. The diversity and quantity of microorganisms that help to keep the soil fertile can decrease, and nutrients may wash out this makes it harder to farm and also makes the land vulnerable to soil erosion and increasing the chances of soil being washed away by the rain. Improper agricultural practices lead to the pollution of both soil and water, this explains why the topography of Potwar plateau is so dry and lacks so much greenery. Not only that it also looks very polluted making it less  habitual place for people to settle in. The increased use of chemicals, as fertilizer and pesticide, has disturbed the natural composition of nutrients in the soil,  it also contributes to climate change, pollutes air and water, and depletes soil fertility.

Monsoon rain and thunderstorm?

mosoon rains can affect the topography of land as  regions with a monsoon climate have distinctly wet and dry seasons, they are prone to floods and droughts, both of which are hazardous to health. During summer monsoons, heavy rainfall can cause flooding. Although Thunderstorms provide needed rain for agricultural regions; at the same time, some thunderstorms can also produce severe weather: large hail and damaging outflow winds. In addition, tornadoes are frequently spawned; some tornadoes can cause not only extensive damage to structures and crops, but also loss of life.Thunderstorms are dangerous storms, Some of the affects of thunderstorm are  that include lightning and can create or cause: Powerful winds over 50 mph. Hail. Flash flooding and/or tornadoes.some affects of monsoon rain are that Summer monsoons can bring heavy rains that destroy homes, damage infrastructure, wash away crops and destroy Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)infrastructure. During winter monsoons, dry weather can lead to drought and crop failures from lack of moisture
