Answer:

There are three types of blood cells. They are:

{1}Red blood cells (Erythrocytes)

{2}White blood cells (Leukocytes)

{3}Platelets (Thrombocytes)

Platelets

The blood platelets are required for the process of blood clotting. Whenever there is an injury, to prevent the loss of blood it is necessary to form a clot. The vitamin K, clotting factors, calcium ions and the platelets are necessary agents for the formation of a blood clot.

If there are no platelets, there will be no clot formation. This might result in haemorrhage in which there is continuous blood loss.

Answer: There are Three types of blood cells in the body: RBCs (Red Blood Cells), WBCs (White Blood Cells) and Platelets.

Platelets play an important role in reducing blood loss from the body due to any injury by forming a colt. If they are not present in the body there would be continuous loss of blood from the body which might lead to the death of a person if not stopped.

I hope it answers your question !!
