Chemical Reaction:

CaCO₃ ---> CaO + CO₂

Gram Molecular Mass of Ca = 40 g, C = 12 g, O = 16 g.

Molar Mass of CaCO₃ = [40+12+48] g

= 100 g

Molar Mass of CaO = [40+16] g

= 56 g

So, 100 g of CaCO₃ produces 56 g of CaO,

1 g of CaCO₃ produces = (56/100) g of CaO

5 g of CaCO₃ produces = (56/100)*5 g of CaO

= 2.8 g of CaO

I hope this helps.
