v^2 / r = centrepetal acceleration

3×3÷0.5

=18m×s^(-2)

Force = mass × acceleration

so centripetal force needed to make a body of mass 0.5kg to move in a circle of radius 50cm with a speed of 3ms-1

is

18×0.5

=9N
