How much co2 is produced by drying a load of clothes? Assume you use an electric 5000 w dryer and that it takes 30 minutes for a full cycle?

Power, P=5000 W = 5 KW

Used for half an hour, t= 0.5 h

Total power consumed (heat produced) = 5 KW x 0.5 h = 2.5 KWh

The CO2 generated from a coal fired power plant depends on the type of plant.

Refer the slide given below.

Total CO2 produced = 2.5 X (CO2 produced per KWh)
