The brick weighs 1 kg plus half of what it weighs. So if we have 1 kg of the brick, we are still missing half of it. Thus the 1 kg chunk is one half of it. So the whole brick weighs 2 kg

Answer:

According to the given question,

The brick weighs 1 kg plus half of its original weight.

Let the weight of the brick be x.

We know that 1 kg is the weight of half brick. Then,

\frac{1}{2}x = 1 kg

2 x  \frac{1}{2}x = 1 kg x 2

x = 2 kg

Therefore the weight of the brick will be 2 kgs if it weighs 1 kg plus a half brick.
