Food chain will be = \(Paddy—Mice—Snake—Hawk \) \(10,000J\) of energy is available to paddy from sun, out of which only \(1%\) is absorbed, \(1% \)of \(10,000J\) is \(100J. 100J\) energy is absorbed by Paddy. \(10%\) of this \(100J\) is transferred to mice, \(10%\) of \(100J\) is \(10J\); mice receives \(10J\) energy. \(10%\) of \(10J\) i.e.\( 1%\) reaches the next trophic level i.e. snake. Snake will transfer \(10%\) of \(1J\) to hawks; \(10%\) of \(1J\) is \(0.1J\). Thus, \(0.1J\) of energy will be available to hawks in the given food chain.
