NOW LOOK,

TO SEND A ROCKET INTO THE GALAXY, WE WOULD REQUIRE JUST ENOUGH FORCE TO ACCELERATE TO A VELOCITY SUCH THAT IT REACHES OUT OF REACH GRAVITATIONAL FORCE.

AND THIS FORCE IS OBTAINED BY EQUATING ITS KINETIC ENERGY TO WORK DONE AGAINST GRAVITY,

HENCE 1/2mv^2=GMm/R^2 * R

so escape velocity should be sqroot(2gR)

now v = sqroot(2gR)

u = 0

and just find the height of atmosphere layer (r) from the net

so v2=u2 + 2ar

or a = 2gR/2r  or gR/r

Point to be noted, for sake of your age, a = average acceleration

and hence force is MgR/r ( R = radius of earth , r=height of gravity's reach)

Answer:

It has to produce a lot of thrust to escape the earth's gravitational pull, known as escape velocity. It has to produce 3.5 million kilograms (7.2 million pounds) of thrust to do so! As the fuel burns, the shuttle gets lighter, and less thrust is needed to push it up, so it speeds up!

Hope it's helpful uh
