Given:-

  • Force ,F = 20 N

  • Acceleration ,a = 5m/s²

To Find:-

  • Force is needed to produce an acceleration of 4m/s².

Solution:-

Firstly we calculate the mass of body using given condition.

As we know that Force is the product of mass and acceleration.

F = ma

where,

F is the Force

m is the mass

a is the acceleration

Substitute the value we get

→ 20 = m × 5

→ m = 20/5

→ m = 4 kg

Mass of body is 4 kg.

Now, calculating the Force.

• F' = ma

Substitute the value we get

→ F = 4 × 4

→ F = 16 N

Therefore, the force required to produce an acceleration of 4 m/ is 16 Newton .

Answer:

  \huge \tt \: Given

  • Acceleration (A) = 4 m/s²
  • Force (F) = 20 N

 \huge \tt \: To \: find

Acceleration produced of 5m/s² in the body

 \huge \tt \: Solution

We shall first find its mass

 \huge \bf \: F \: = ma

 \sf \: 20\: = m \times 5

 \sf \: 20 = 5m

 \sf \: m \:  =  \dfrac{20}{5}

 \sf \: m \: = 4

Now,

We will find force applied

 \sf \: f \: = 4 \times 4

 \sf \: f \: = 16 N
