Answer:

Final velocity - Intial velocity divided by 2

Then (20-10)/2 = 5

Also,

f = ma

given mass = 1 kg

a = 5 m/s2

Therefore,

F = ma = 1 x 5 = 5 N

Given, mass, m = 1 kg

initial velocity, u = 15 m/s

final velocity, v = 60 m/s

time, t = 15 sec

Since, F = mv - mu /t

F = m (v-u) /t

F = 1 (60-15) /15

F = 45 /15

F = 3 Newton

So, the force needed to increase the velocity is 3 Newton.
