this is how you get that answer
latent heat of fusion of ice is 80cal/gm

L = Q/m ( heat required )
Q = 2000gm/80cal/gm = 25 cal
Now the Ice has changed into water which is at 0°C

Then the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of mass=2000gm to 20°C is →
Q = mS▲T
Q = 2000 × 1 × (20-0)
Q = 40000cal

Total heat required=
40000 + 25= 40025cal
