Given, m= 100g, 0,= 5°C,0₂ = 95°C

We have, specific heat of water c =

1cal/g °C

Now, heat required to raise the temperature of water is given by, Q = mcA0 = mc(0₂-0₁)

or

Q=100x1x (95-5)=

9000cal = 9kcal
