Answer:

Slope of any straight line on the X-Y plane is given by tan θ , where θ is the angle which the straight line makes with the positive direction of x axis.

So , m = tan θ ( where m is the slope of that straight line which is inclined at an angle θ with the positive direction of x axis)

So, θ = tan^(-1)m

EXAMPLE , there is a straight line having a slope 1.

So, tan θ = 1

very clearly , θ = 45 degrees.
