=> (x^2)^2 - (y^2)^2 + x^2 - y^2

=> (x^2 - y^2)(x^2 + y^2) + (x - y)(x + y)

=> (x - y)(x + y)(x^2 + y^2) + (x - y)(x + y)

=> (x - y)(x + y)[x^2 + y^2 + 1]
