How much marks will be deducted in a 3 marks question if my formula is wrong, but answer is correct and two formulas are correct, but calculation is wrong.​

As per the data given in the above question.

Normally marks for an answer for boards are given for three steps:

1.For method or formula

2.For substitution of the correct values in the method or formula

3.Final answer.

Suppose a question carries 4 marks… 2 marks will be given for method… 1 mark for susbstitution of correct values and 1 mark for the correct answer. So if your answer is wrong you will lose 1 mark provided you have written the correct method or formula and substituted the correct values in it.

According to your question if a question is of 3 marks then three formulas are there then they are of 0.5 marks each (0.5×3=1.5) and rest calculation is of 1.5 marks . So you mightly get 0.5 marks and 2.5 marks deduct .
