Normality = 2 N

Volume of solution = 100 ml => 0.1 liter

Normality for base = Acidity of base x Molarity of solution

=>As NaOH has an acidity equal to 1, as it gives 1 OH-1 ion per molecule in aqueous state.

Hence, 2= 1 x Molarity

Molarity = 2 M

Volume of solution in liters = 0.1 liter

Molarity = (no. of moles of solute )/ (liters of solution)

2 = (moles of solute)/0.1

2 x 0.1 = moles of solute

moles of NaOH = 0.2 moles

molar mass of NaOH = 23 + 16 + 1 =>24 + 16 => 40 grams per mole.

Hence, 40 x 0.2 => 8 grams of NaOH

Hence, 0.2 moles of NaOH or 8 grams of NaOH is needed.
