suppose original square's side is 100
area=(l)²
=(100)²
=10000
new square
side is increased by 10%
10% of 100 will be 10
the side of new square will be 110
area=(l)²
=(110)²
=12100
increase in area
12100-10000=2100
percentage=(2100/10000)×100
=(21/100)×100
=21%
