Water is a polar molecule, since it has a slight positive charge at one end of the molecule and a slight negative charge at the other end of themolecule. The water molecule (H2O) consist total of 10 protons and 10 electrons, 8 from the oxygen atom and 1 from each of the two hydrogen atom.
