Given:-

→Mass of the material = 1kg

→Height = 60m

→Time = 1 minute

→Acceleration due to gravity(g) = 9.8m/

To find:-

→Power

Solution:-

Firstly, let's convert the time from minute to seconds.

=> 1 minute = 60 seconds

Now, we know that:-

=> Power = Energy/Time

=> Power = mgh/t

=> Power = 1×9.8×60/60

=> Power = 9.8 W

Thus, the power required is 9.8 W.

Some Extra Information:-

•Power of a machine is defined as the rate of work done by the machine.

Power = Work/Time

Since, work and energy are interconvertible, thus:-

Power = Energy/Time

•Power is a scalar quantity.

•S.I. unit of power is watt(W), another unit is horse power(HP).

[1 HP = 746 W]
