how much pressure do we carry on our heads? why don't we feel it
Answers
Solution :-
When we lift something very heavy on our shoulders or head, we feel a pressure weighing down on us. Atmospheric pressure acts in basically the same way. Thousands of air molecules weigh down on us all the time. The standard value of atmospheric pressure is 14.7 pounds per square inch at sea level. To put that in perspective, it's like holding a small car on our head all the time. We carry 14.7 pounds per square inch of air pressure on our head all the time.
The air particles around us exert a certain amount of pressure on our entire body, but the same amount of pressure is exerted back onto the air molecules by the inside of the body, thereby achieving a state of equilibrium. So that is why we do not feel the air pressure.
The pressure that gets exerted on our heads is at 14 pounds which is per square inch at the sea level.
It acts not only on our heads, but on our whole body right from the moment that we are born.
The reason why we don't feel it is because we get accustomed to the pressure.
