Given:-

  • Force ,F = 50 N

  • Area on which force act ,A = 0.00002 m²

To Find:-

  • Pressure is exerted on the head of nail,P

Solution:-

We have to calculate the pressure exerted on the head of a nail when force of 50 N is applied on nail and the area of contact with nail is 0.00002 m².

As we know that Pressure is calculated by the force acting per unit area.

  • P = F/A

where,

  • P denote pressure
  • A denote area on which the force acted
  • F denote force

Substitute the value we get

:\implies P = 50/0.00002

:\implies P = 50×100000/2

:\implies P = 25×100000

:\implies P = 2500000 Pa

  • Hence, the pressure exerted on the tip of the nail is 2500000 Pascal or 2500 KiloPascal.

To Find :-

Pressure

Solution :-

We know that

P = F/A

P = pressure

f = force

a = acceleration

P = 50/0.00002

P = 2500000 Pa
