Hello !

Itz Me Kushi !

P₀ = pressure at the top = atmospheric pressure = 1.01325 x 10⁵ Pa

ρ = density of water = 1000 kgm⁻³

g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 ms⁻²

P = pressure at the bottom experienced by the gas balloon

h = depth of the gas balloon from sea level = 100 m

Pressure at the bottom is given as

P = P₀ + ρ gh

inserting the above values in the above equation

P = ( 1.01325 x 10⁵) + (1000) (9.8) (100)

P = 1081325 Pa

Hope it helps u

Answer:

Pressure at ground level, Pg = 105 Pa

g= 9.8 m/s2

Therefore, pressure of the gas balloon at depth 100 m, P = hdg

where, h = depth;    d = density;          g = acceleration due to gravity

We know, Density of sea water = 1.03 x 103 kg/m3

Thus, P = 100 m x 1.03 x 103 kg/m3 x 9.8 m/s2 = 10.094 x 105 kg/ m s2 = 1.0094 x 106 Pa or 1.08 x 106 Pa

So, the correct option is (d)
