Profit% = p%* cp
125/1000*405 = 405/8
= 58.625

x=\frac{405 \times 100}{112.5}

Step 3:

Multiply Nr and Dr by 10.

x=\frac{405\times 100 \times 10}{112.5 \times 10}

x=\frac{405 \times 1000}{1125}

Step 4:

Simplify the expression and now we get the x value.

x=360  

Profit earned = 405 – 360

Step 5:

Therefore Profit earned = 45.
