  • Let principal = $ x ..

so,

→ P + SI = 10

→ P + (P * R * T)/100 = 10

→ P[1 + (RT/100)] = 10

→ P[1 + (5*7/100)] = 10

→ P[1 + (7/20)] = 10

→ P(27/20) = 10

→ P = (10 * 20)/27

→ P = (200/27)

→ P = $7.4 (Ans.)
