how much water is to be added to prepare 0.1 M solution of HCl from 300 ml of 0.25 M solution?​

Explanation:

Starting concentration (Cs) x starting volume (Vs) = final concentration (Cf) x final volume (Vf)

So ,

0.3L x 0.75M = 0.25M x Vf

Vf = (0.3 x 0.75) / 0.25

Vf = 0.9L

Vf - Vs = volume added

0.9 - 0.3 = 0.6L

So you must add 0.6L of water to get to the desired final concentration of HCl.
